6 Month / 10,000 Miles Warranty
At SL Car Service, we stand behind every repair with confidence. Our warranty ensures you receive not just great service today, but long-term reliability for the road ahead. We offer warranty coverage on both parts and labor — giving you complete peace of mind.
If an issue arises within the warranty period, simply bring your vehicle back to our workshop in Pietermaritzburg — we’ll inspect it and make it right. No hassles, no arguments, just honest service.
Warranty Coverage
SL Car Service warrants that both parts and labor for the repairs performed at our facility will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for:
6 months from the date of repair completion
10,000 kilometers from the odometer reading at the time of repair
Whichever occurs first, unless otherwise specified on the estimate and invoice.
Certain repairs or parts may carry a different warranty period, such as 6 months / 10,000 kilometers, as noted at the time of service.
The warranty period begins from the date the original repair was completed or the odometer reading indicated on the original repair invoice.
This warranty excludes repairs necessitated by:
- A belt replacement is no longer warranted if its failure was due to an oil seal leak
- A head gasket replacement is no longer warranted if its failure was due to overheating as a result of a broken radiator
- Accidents, natural disasters, or external causes — Damage caused by collisions, floods, fires, or other events beyond SL Car Service’s control
- Normal wear and tear items — Parts that are designed to wear out over time, such as brake pads/shoes, rotors/drums, wiper blades, and similar components
- Misuse or neglect — Damage resulting from improper use, lack of maintenance, or failure to follow manufacturer recommendations
Covered Repairs:
The following repair categories are covered under this limited warranty unless otherwise specified:
- Brake system (excluding brake pads/shoes and rotors/drums)
- Electrical system, Exhaust system, Fuel system, Engine cooling system
- Air conditioning, heating, and climate control system
- Steering and suspension systems, including CV joints, wheel bearings, half shafts, and driveshafts
- Engine performance and drivability repairs
- On-board computer system and electronic engine management system
- Starting and charging systems (excluding batteries)
- Other minor repairs (excluding bulbs)
